FAQs

What is co-wash?

Co-washing (conditioner washing) is the process of using a product that not only cleanses the hair, but also moisturizes and nourishes it. It’s an All In One way to replace your shampoo & conditioner with just one product, simplifying your haircare routine! What are the benefits of using a co-wash vs. shampoo? Detergent-free co-washing cleanses and nourishes your hair without stripping the natural oils from your hair and scalp which leaves you with shinier, smoother and healthier hair, overall.

When it comes to curly hair, the practice of co-washing helps define the curls, detangles the curls and keeps them fresh. We want the best for our clients so Index is cruelty-free and free of detergents, sulfates and parabens and scented with the mild and natural oil from sweet oranges.

What is Multispray?

Have you ever wanted to give your hair a little boost before you actually styled it with heat and other products? All you have to do is add a dollop of Multiwash to our reusable, glass Multispray bottle, give it a good shake and voila! That’s all it takes to get your primer set up. Using a primer on your hair not only prepares it for the heat it’s about to endure but also sets you up for a great hair day, protecting it against humidity and frizziness, while conditioning and giving you better hold and shine!

On top of being a really great hair primer, Multiwash can also be applied as a curl spray to bring your stunning curls to life. Curls are so unique for each person and sometimes they need a little help to enhance their natural charm. As a curl spray, Multiwash helps define and separate the curls to give you a more even look across your whole head. You can also use Multiwash as a curl refresher to revive those luscious locks between washes. Who wouldn’t want to give their hair the best chance to look its best throughout the day?

How do I style with Multiwash?

Index Multiwash is the perfect styling creme. Simply apply to towel-dried hair to use as a leave-in conditioner, styling, curl, blow-dry, air-dry, setting or finishing cream. Type 1 as a styling cream has so many possibilities.  Great for men and women to use, styling cream gives your hair shine, fights off frizz, nourishes and hydrates the hair. It’s also a great option for those looking for a styling cream for curly hair. Curls don’t always want to cooperate and Multiwash can help. As a styling cream for curls, Multiwash helps set the curls, reduce the frizz, adds the softness and leaves your hair feeling lush instead of crunchy and stale. Styling cream lets your hair flourish and bounce as it shows off its natural beauty. It puts your hair front and center to look and feel its best!  We designed it as a cruelty-free styling cream, free of detergents, sulfates and parabens because we want the best for our clients and their hair.

What type of hair can you co-wash?

Multiwash can be used on all types of hair from thin to thick and from straight to curly. It’s absolutely fantastic for waves, curls, and frizz-prone cuticles. Co-washing is perfect for obtaining smooth and soft hair on a daily basis.

How often should you use Multiwash as a co-wash?

It’s a cleansing conditioner which cleans and nourishes the hair. Depending on how often you normally wash your hair and how much product you use to style it with, you want to use it as often as you would use shampoo.

Is co-washing better than shampoo?

Co-washing is a way to get smoother and shinier hair all the while using less products on your hair, while preserving your hair of it’s natural oils.

If co-washing is not for you, you can easily use Multiwash as your traditional conditioner, leave-in conditioner or masque.
